In the spirit of sending out #ff shout-outs on Twitter at the end of each week, I thought it would be nice to try to come up with a treat to post each week on our blog. Whether you've had a long week full of challenges, or your week sped by swimmingly, the idea is to give you something fun/inspiring/interesting/hillarious to kick off your weekend. In any case, this will be something you can check out online and share with friends if you like. Hillarious and unfortunate text messages courtesey of iPhone autocorrect. If you have an iPhone, you've likely had an experience or two like this yourself. If not, read enough of them and you'll catch on fast.

Tips:
- Prepare yourself for some foul language.
- Do not attempt to eat or drink anything while reading these or listening to anyone read them.
- If you aren't struggling to control your laughter after reading through a handful of these, try reading them out loud to a friend using your left and right index fingers like puppets to indicate the two sides of the exchange... So worth it!

Just a quick note:

We joined Twitter in April 2010. On December 15 I blogged that we had just hit 100 followers. Less than one month later that number has more than doubled. I don't know how this happened. Granted I have been making a concerted effort to follow more tweeps in the last couple of weeks, but at least half of these new followers found us before I found them. This. Seems. Crazy.

I just needed to marvel at that for a moment.

Have you experienced something like that - like, marvelled at the connectivity of social media? What's the most "Holy crow!" kind of moment you've had?

200 over 200 in 4...

This is just one of the coolest things I've ever seen: Global health as indicated by 200 countries over the course of 200 years shown in about 4 minutes. Granted it doesn't exactly deal with interior design, but inspiration comes from everywhere, and I think this whole sequence is just breathtaking.

our year in review...

2010 has been a fantastic year for us! We started it off with a foray toward establishing our online identity, and are finishing it off with anticipating the official launch of our company website.

This year has not been without its personal excitements, too. Good friends, travel, a wedding, and the occasional sauna were just some of the features of 2010. From the Winter Olympics to the Vancouver International Film Festival, there were lots of sites to see and things to do. We can't say this year was free of struggles and challenges, but were are making it a priority to learn from it all - good and bad - to make 2011 even better.

Proudly hit 100 followers on Twitter today. If all goes well, we'll look back on this blog post a year from now and say to ourselves "We thought THAT was exciting? Little did we know where we'd be today..."

Am I putting too much pressure on us? Nah. Even if we're just at 101 this time next year, it's all moving in the right direction.

dream on...

There do not seem to be enough hours in the day right now... I have been planning to blog the wonderful photos taken by Jugana of BlackBelo at the Kimberley Seldon Business of Design Vancouver Book Launch two Fridays ago, but I have not had the chance. I still plan to do this today or tomorrow (fingers crossed), but for now I'll leave you with this:

I couldn't sleep last night because I was fantasizing about purchasing my rented condo and renovating it. Dreams of a custom window seat, hardwood-looking-ceramic tile, a new walk in closet, and more kept swirling around in my head. Along with those dreams a vision persisted; I could not get the sofa we saw at IDS West from 18 Karat out of my head.
